Description
Built in the reign of Nizam VII Osman Ali Khan, the Miyan Paisa Dargah sits right next to the Puranapul Darwaza. Miyan Paisa was a sufi saint who came to Hyderabad in the reign of Sikander Jah Nizam III. He died during the reign of Afzal ud Doulah Nizam V and is buried near the Puranapul Darwaza.
The dargah is built using RCC in the Nizam/Osmanian style, which emerged during the period of Nizam VII Osman Ali Khan. The structure contains three arches on each side, which have been enclosed by lime jaalis/lattice screens. The parapet wall includes a bangaldar chhatri at the centre with minarets at the corners.
Existing Condition
The dargah is within a walled compound today and has been replastered with white limewash.
