The temple is located in the dense Nallamalla Forest,in the Amarabad Forest Reserve zone and is located 20km from Farhabad entrance point.

Description
The 6th century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is constructed in a shallow cave with bricks and mortar. In front of the temple, there is a waterfall, which is of 200 meters.
The temple is open only for 3 to 5 days in a year during Chaitra Masam on full moon day that falls in April. General public throng with huge numbers on these days to celebrate Lingamayya jathra.
If the devotees want to see the temple on other days, they need to get permission from the forest officer. To reach the temple, devotees have to walk on foot for 6km.
Existing Condition
The temple is opened once in a year during the Chaitra Pournami that falls in April.
