Mitta Waterfalls

The waterfall, also known as the Saptagundala Falls, is nestled amidst towering hills on one side and dense forests on the other, creating a picturesque and unspoiled natural setting. This idyllic location has gained popularity among trekkers and nature enthusiasts for its pristine beauty and tranquility.

The waterfall itself is a breathtaking sight, and what makes this waterfall particularly intriguing is that it is part of a group of seven waterfalls, some of which have been given names associated with Hindu mythology. Notably, the falls have been named after Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, and Bheema. An idol of Bheema, one of the Pandava brothers from the Mahabharata, is also located in this area.

Annually, tribal communities in the region celebrate two fairs in deep reverence to their deity, Bheema. They believe that Bheema traversed the area, leaving his spiritual presence, and as a result, they hold the stone slabs near the falls in high regard, believing them to carry the foot impressions of the deity. This cultural and religious significance adds a layer of mystique to the natural beauty of the Saptagundala Falls, making it not only a place of scenic wonder but also a site of spiritual importance for the local tribal communities.
