Description
Sammakka Sarakka Temple or Medaram temple is a famous ancient temple and dedicated to two brave women who stood up for their community and its betterment. The temple was built during 12th century by the tribals. The significance of the temple is that it hosts the famous Samakka Sarakka Jatara once in every two years during the month of February and the Jatara is known for witnessing one of the largest people gatherings in the world.

The Temple is a popular pilgrimage site and it is well maintained .
