Wali Ud Daula

Wali ud Daula was born on October 16, 1882 in Hyderabad. After being sent to England at the age of 7, where he attended a preparatory school, he received his education at Eton and Cambridge before returning to India in 1900. Nawab Wali-ud-Daula Bahadur served on His Exalted Highness the Nizam’s Executive Council, overseeing various departments including Army, Education, Medical and Sanitation, Registration and Stamps, Archaeological and Postal. 

He was the son of Nawab Sir Viqar-ul-Umara Bahadur, who served as Prime Minister of Hyderabad. During his time in India, he was attached to the 4th Queen’s Own Hussars, a British Cavalry Regiment, in Trimulgherry, and later joined the Imperial Cadet Corps at the invitation of Lord Curzon. In 1917, he was appointed as the minister for the Army Department, and later held the role of Minister in charge of the Judicial, Police, and General Departments. In 1942, he was appointed as President of His Exalted Highness the Nizam’s Executive Council.
