P V Ramana

Pusarla Venkata Ramana, who hails from Nirmal District, Telangana, is a former member of the Indian national volleyball team. He worked for Indian Railways in Secunderabad and was part of the team that clinched a bronze medal in the 1986 Asian Games. In recognition of his accomplishments, he was honored with the Arjuna Award in 2000. Thanks to his constant support and perseverance, his daughter P.V. Sindhu has achieved tremendous success in the field of badminton.
