Pochampadu is a submerged village on the right bank of the river Godavari. It is about 30 kms from Nizamabad in Nizamabad district.

Description
Ten cairn circles (burial mounds) and a stone platform were excavated at this site. From these burials, both human and animal skeletal remains were found along with iron implements.
The artefacts excavated include a bone comb, terracotta wild dogs and oxen, terracotta beads, an iron goad, battle axe with copper straps and copper treated daggers.
Existing Condition
The excavation site was submerged during the Sri Ram Sagar project. However the artefacts are located at Centenary Heritage Museum, Hyderabad.
